Books
I'd read awhile ago that when you start reading to your baby it's best to start with books with rhymes as your child will respond to the sing-songy rhythm early on. Wow, so true for Abby. Her favorite books: (seriously! These two already make her smile nearly every time I read them.)

Piper loves "Barnyard Dance." Does Abby have "Snuggle Puppy"? It nearly makes Piper swoon.
You're so right about the rhymes! My boy, Jeremy, is a huge fan of Dr. Seuss -- he loves everything -- Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish, Fox in Sox, etc. We read to him lying on our backs and he chatters along with the book and waves his hands and feet frenetically!
Barnyard Dance is certainly a well-worn book in our house.
No, Nichole, Abby doesn't have Snuggle Puppy. I may have to try and track that one down.
I will have to add Barnyard Dance to our collection (I've never even heard of it...where have I been?!). Sydney still loves sing songy rhyme books. And I love reading them to her :)
