It's funny, the things you remember...

I was just peeling potatoes for supper and my mind flickered back to a day likely 25+ years ago when I was peeling potatoes for supper and my father came in to tell me that I was peeling too much of the potato with the skin.

I don't think I EVER peel potatoes without thinking of that little criticism.

I doubt there are many people out there could peel a thinner peel ever since then.

Maybe that's where Brad gets that "lookit how thick that peel is" attitude. You wouldn't think something like that would be genetic ...and I'm willing to wager your father never saw Brad peeling potatoes!

I have a potato memory of dad too. The first time I cooked potatoes, Mom said to boil them for 20 minutes. I took her at her word, turned them off, and served them to dad. They were rock hard. He tried to maintain a sense of humour about it and ate them anyway.

hi Im Marsha, friend of Joyska in the USA. My potatoe memory was peeling with my Grandmother when I asked if I was doing OK she said,"yes we will just peel the peeling and everything will be fine. By the way is Joyska OK nothing on her blog since Aug.
