"They" are forecasting highs of 0 and 1 for early next week. I gotta say, sitting here at minus 30 makes the sarcastic/cynical/pessimistic side of me roll my eyes and say "yeah, whatever".

I don't believe it either. I think "they" just like toying with us and crushing our spirits.
But on the more positive side.
We went outside this afternoon, really truly out of doors. I do not know who was more excited the children or the staff. They remained outside for about twenty minutes. I asked how it was when they returned. All replied "Beautiful" even though it was a balmy -23.
Ugh. That's miserable. It was cold here for awhile (not as cold as you have it), and I finally started wishing for rain. Imagine!
yes, but it's funny how warm 0 can feel when it's been so far below... woo hoo, we don't need to zip our jackets!
you'll have to let us know if "they" are, well, right this time around or not.
