Jack's hair is getting a little long (coming from a mom who loooooves a boy in a brushcut). This morning I thought I'd put a little styling product in it.
I approach Jack with the styling product on my fingers.
Jack: No! I don't want that in my hair.
ccap: Come on Jack, please?
Jack: Nooooooo.
ccap: But, Jack, it will make you look cute.
Jack: I don't want to be cute!

Laughing the laugh of a mom who has had that conversation a time or two. Ah yes. They come out having their own opinions on things, go figure. 'Hope your date night is awesome. No, "tepid" or slightly more than "tepid" right? Thanks for coming. It meant a lot.
