Moments

It's been a rough evening. Abby has been particularly whiny and grating on my nerves. After sometime of this I put my head down into my hands.

Abby: Mom. Don't cry.
ccap: Honey, it's EXHAUSTING when you're like this.
Abby: It's exhausting BEING like this.

And then, later when she sees me being slightly exasperated with Jack:

"I think it's hard being a parent. I don't think I want to be a parent."

Also... we are having a birthday party for Dianna. You're invited. It's on Sunday the 23rd. (Her birthday is on the 17th - she's turning 2) On the 23rd, come at 3:00 for ice cream in a bowl or on a cone. Feel free to stay for supper, just bring something towards it. If you'll want anything to drink besides kiddie powder beverages, well bring something towards that, too. We'll provide the propane, dishes, cups, ice cream, cones, cake, water, coffee, tea, etc. 'Hope you can come!
