Changing
This week:
I put on jeans and socks.
Abby wore her tights for the first time in months.
I watched geese fly over yellowed trees.
I put the heater on in my car during a late night drive.
All completely inevitable but melancholy all the same.

Yes, Jeremy is in pants and socks today -- he seems a bit startled at having something on his feet! But the crisp weather also refreshing, as well as bit sad. Think of all those nice fall walks you can take with Abby!
Well, we had a wonderful summer here in England (which is not always the case) so I feel with you as it is even more difficult to see summer slip away.
