Well, there it is. In the mailbox in a plain enough envelope.
And now I, like millions of parents before me, am filled with that combined mixture of excitement and dread and sadness.

Oh my! It's hard to believe that 5 years could go by so fast, isn't it?
Just think... all those years you've been dreaming about going school supply shopping and you finally have a reason! :-)
That's all she needs? What about calculators and oil paints and power tools and a chemistry set? What kind of kindergarten is this?
ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Sigh.
She is going to look so cute with a little back pack, and so 'grown up'. Yikes!
